Regulations related to the employment of foreign nationals change continuously, and timing complications and qualifications of the international employee may not be apparent on the surface. It is critical that OIS be involved in the earliest stages concerning prospective international employees in order to provide the most beneficial advice and services.

OIS provides extensive advising and services associated with the following:

• H-1B and H-4 dependents
• O-1 and O-3 dependents
• TN-1: Free Trade Canada & Mexico and TD dependents
• E-3 Free Trade: Australia
• Advising and coordination for employment-based permanent residency
• Waiver of two year home residency requirement associated with J-1 status
• International Travel

F and J visas are handled by the International Student and Scholar Services Office (ISSS).
