Important Announcement

As previously discussed in our last newsletter, the USCIS decided to officially increase the filing fees for all H-1B, TN-1, E - 3, O-1, and permanent residency applications filed by OIS after July 30, 2007. See below for the new USCIS filing fees:

I-129 USCIS filing fee for H-1B, TN-1, O-1, and E-3 applications:

Current: $190

New: $320

I-539 USCIS filing fee for dependent family members:

Current: $200

New: $300

I-140 USCIS filing fee for Permanent Residency (1 st Step):

Current: $195

New: $475

I-485 USCIS filing fee for Permanent Residency (2 nd Step):

Current: $325

New: $905

Walk-in Schedule:

In order to provide better service to our international employee's and sponsoring departments, OIS created a system for accepting walk-ins for advising purposes. You are welcome to come by at any time during working hours of 8-5 (Monday -Friday) to pick-up or drop off documents with our receptionist. However, if you have a question, we recommend that you email us to schedule an appointment with an advisor . In this way, OIS advisors will be available to dedicate uninterrupted time for your issue. If you need to walk-in for an emergency issue, an OIS advisor will be available at the following times:

Monday 8:30 - 10:30 a.m.
Tuesday 10:30a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Wednesday 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Thursday 8:30 - 10:30 a.m.
Friday 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 - 4:00p.m.
The Office of International Services is located in the new Student Life Center, 310 25th Avenue South, Suite 103, across from Memorial Gym.
