The Opportunity Development Center (ODC), established in 1977, is Vanderbilt University's equal opportunity, affirmative action, and disability services office. The Opportunity Development Center's mission is to take a proactive stance in assisting the University with the interpretation, understanding, and application of federal and state laws and regulations which impose special obligations in the areas of equal opportunity and affirmative action. This mission is supported by the ODC's commitment to continuously develop, implement, evaluate and revise as necessary action-oriented programs aimed at promoting and valuing diversity in the University's faculty, staff, and student body. The ODC's core values include diversity, equity, accessibility, inclusiveness, and accommodation. These represent the spirit and purpose of the ODC.
