The Sri Lanka Project 2012
application deadline: Monday, November 7th at 5pm
The first Sri Lanka Project in 2011 was so well-received, we’re bringing it back for an encore! This 30-day experiential service learning/cultural immersion program in Sri Lanka commences the second week of May 2012. Students will be teaching conversational English as a second language to students at the Maha Mortatu Vidalaya school Monday through Friday while immersing themselves in the culture of the tropical island of Sri Lanka.
It is not necessary to have teaching experience if you are open, creative and willing. Participants will be provided with basic Teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL) sessions in advance of the program.
