Why do VIEW?
1. THE JOB!
VIEW provides students with 8-week public service internships with leading agencies and congressional offices in our nation's capital. Students work full-time and gain extensive professional experience while networking with Vanderbilt alumni and other internship providers. Many VIEW alums have secured future internships and jobs as a result of their VIEW internship.
2. THE FRIENDS!
Students choose to intern in DC through the VIEW program because they will live with a cohort of 20 other Vanderbilt students in fully furnished apartments near the Metro and many DC attractions. This built-in group of friends allows students to hit the ground running at work, have zero-worries about their living arrangements, and always have a Vanderbilt friend to explore the city with in their free time.
3. THE PERKS!
VIEW also coordinates exciting programs exclusively for VIEW interns including many group social events, behind-the-scenes seminars with top DC industries (i.e. CNN and the Pentagon), and service projects in the city as well. Students also get an unlimited Metro pass every week!
