Tamra Stambaugh from the College of William and Mary’s Center for Gifted Education. Stambaugh discussed common causes of perfectionism in gifted children and strategies to help deal with this tendency.

The October 18 lecture was the first in the new Julian Stanley Lecture Series hosted by the Vanderbilt Programs for Talented Youth. The series features national experts on gifted children and gifted education. The next lecture will be Vanderbilt Peabody College Dean Camilla Benbow and Professor of Psychology David Lubinski Nov. 5 at 6:30 p.m. at the downtown Nashville Public Library.
