DESCRIPTION:NASHVILLE\, Tenn. &ndash\; Heather Sellers\, an acclaimed memoirist\, novelist\, writing instructor and poet\, will read from her work at Vanderbilt University.\n\nSellers will read at 8 p.m. Thursday\, Sept. 28\, in Room 102 of Buttrick Hall. A reception will follow in the atrium of Buttrick.\nThe reading and reception are free and open to the public.\n\n&ldquo\;The writing of Heather Sellers is luminous\, brave and vibrant\,&rdquo\; said Lorraine Lopez\, assistant professor of English at Vanderbilt. &ldquo\;Her stories and poems are often humorous and sometimes heartbreaking\, but always arresting and unforgettable. Also\, her books on craft are indispensable to emerging writers.&rdquo\;\n\nSellers\, a professor of English at Hope College\, is the author of Face First\: A Memoir\, which chronicles her experience with face blindness\, a little-understood neurological deficit which renders her unable to recognize people by their faces. The upcoming Chapter after Chapter is a sequel to her well-regarded writing primer Page after Page.
