Watch Professor Churchill's talk with Real Player.
Larry R. Churchill, the Ann Geddes Stahlman Professor of Medical Ethics, discusses “Fixing Medicare: The Phony Crisis and the Real Crisis” at the May 7 Thinking Out of the Lunch Box lunchtime talk. The Medicare program goes in and out of crisis every seven years. This talk explores the reasons why Medicare is prone to crises and which reason we need to pay attention to. Thinking Out of the Lunch Box is a series of lunchtime talks with a philosophical flavor hosted by David Wood, Centennial Professor of Psychology and sponsored by the Vanderbilt Office of Community, Neighborhood and Government Relations in partnership with the Nashville Public Library.
