The annual Berry Lecture was delivered on March 24 by Jonathan Gilligan of Vanderbilt and J. Aaron Simmons of Hendrix College. Both speakers spoke about the extent the current generation is ethically obligated to preserve the earth for future generations. The Berry Lecture series at Vanderbilt began in 1988 funded by John and Shirley Lachs with Alan Berry and Kendall Berry to show how philosophy can impact our lives.
