MEDIA ADVISORY: Google "App to School" Bus Tour makes stop at Vanderbilt University Sept. 189/17/2008

WHAT: Google will bring its retro-fitted, eco-friendly school bus to Vanderbilt University as part of a campaign to get more students, faculty and staff using their free Google Apps for Education. The interactive bus and product demo stations will give students a chance to try out Google Apps, play Rockband and Wii and snag some free giveaways. WHERE: The Commons at Vanderbilt University. The Commons is on the southeastern part of campus near Peabody College. The bus will be parked in The Commons on the Horton Avenue access road off of 18th Avenue South. WHEN: Thursday, Sept. 18, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. At 1 p.m., a Google representative will give a free classroom-style tour and demonstration of how to use Google applications in the multipurpose room of The Commons Center.
