Marie, a postgraduate student from Switzerland, was visiting her brother at the time of the attack. Four persons believed responsible for the Aug. 26 shootings of Pierre and Marie during a robbery at Pierre Colas' East Nashville home have been charged with criminal homicide. The attempted murder charges in connection with Marie’s shooting will be amended to criminal homicide, police said. The Greenwood Neighborhood Association, of which Pierre was a member, held a candlelight vigil for Pierre and Marie Aug. 30. The university created a blog, http://rememberingpierre.wordpress.com, that friends and colleagues of Marie and Pierre from around the world have been using to share their thoughts, memories and grief. The blog will be updated continuously with any new information and also with photos shared by the Colas’ loved ones. Media contact: Melanie Moran, (615) 322-NEWS melanie.moran@vanderbilt.edu |
