Your Membership Matters

These are exciting times for Vanderbilt Athletics. Our teams are competing at their highest levels ever and enjoying unprecedented success; including No. 1 rankings, Southeastern Conference titles, a first-ever National Championship, and a win over Boston College in the 2008 Music City Bowl. And Vanderbilt’s student-athletes continue their high academic standards. In fact, the Commodores have never been more successful in the classroom.

Vanderbilt competes in the nation’s premier conference, against schools with athletic budgets that are often twice that of Vanderbilt’s. Sustained success means increased support for our student-athletes.

That’s why your NCC membership matters.

Your investment in Vanderbilt’s student-athletes can help provide the winning edge. The cost of scholarships for our student-athletes comprises almost a third of the entire athletics budget. Your annual gift helps offset these costs as well as other program costs in all 16 sports. Supporting the NCC is the best way to help all Vanderbilt’s student-athletes pursue their academic and athletic ambitions.

NCC contributions entitle members to certain benefits such as priority seating, parking and other benefits at each level of giving.

To join and learn more about NCC benefits (and for help with your membership), call the NCC office, (615) 322-4114, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. CDT. Or contact Robin Langlois, NCC member services coordinator, (615) 343-7145.

Support Vanderbilt Athletics facilities improvements

Construction continues on the Vanderbilt Athletics facilities improvements which will benefit both Vanderbilt student-athletes and supporters for years to come. Projects include upgrades to Vanderbilt Stadium, Memorial Gymnasium, Hawkins Field and the McGugin Center, along with construction of the new Vanderbilt Athletics Hall of Fame—a total investment of more than $50 million.

To attract top recruits and stay competitive in the Southeastern Conference, Vanderbilt must offer world-class facilities to rival even our biggest SEC adversaries. Your gift to the facilities capital campaign will help make these remarkable improvements possible. Contact the NCC office today to find out how you can support these important facilities.

Help increase Vanderbilt’s athletics scholarship endowment

Funding the academic scholarships available to student-athletes is one of the main financial responsibilities of Vanderbilt Athletics—and we seek to endow more of these scholarships with a $25 million goal in gifts and pledges for scholarship endowment. Endowment gifts and pledges can be made in a variety of ways and pledged over a period of up to five years.

  • A gift of $900,000 will endow a full athletics grant-in-aid scholarship
  • A gift of $600,000 will endow a full tuition athletics scholarship
  • A gift of $300,000 will endow a partial athletics scholarship
  • A gift of $100,000 will endow a Black and Gold Society scholarship

Contact the NCC office to find out more about supporting the athletics scholarship endowment.
