Are you a cancer survivor or caregiver who wants to give back?

Have you “been there” and are passionate about encouraging others in the midst of their own cancer experience?

Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center is launching a new program, “The Hope Connection,” a peer-to-peer support volunteer opportunity for adult cancer survivors and caregivers.
Hope Connection volunteers provide confidential one-on-one telephone support to cancer patients and their families who wish to talk to someone who has “been there” and successfully met the challenges of a cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Hope Connection training to prepare volunteers for this supportive peer role will be offered on Friday/Saturday, September 12 and 13, 2008 at Gilda’s Club, Nashville.
