VU employees can get discounted season tickets to Great Performances if purchased before Sept. 5; single-event discounted tickets available after Sept. 8

Music celebrating the 70th Anniversary tour of Blue Note Records and French chanteuse Edith Piaf, drama from the National Theatre of the United States of America and dance from three premier companies highlight the 2008-2009 season of Great Performances at Vanderbilt. Two events will be hosted at the refurbished Langford Auditorium on campus. The $5.5 million renovation includes a new audio/visual system, new stage flooring and curtains and more comfortable seating. Five events will be held at the Martha Rivers Ingram Center for The Performing Arts at Vanderbilt’s Blair School of Music.

Subscription packages for the seven-event series are available at a dicscount to faculty and staff if purchased before Sept. 5. The discounted rate is $112. (Regular season tickets start at $224). To purchase the full subscription series, bring valid employee ID and completed order form to 207 Sarratt Student Center or call 615.322.2471 for fax information and all details. The deadline to purchase this series is Sept. 5. Limit two subscriptions per ID.

Single-event tickets go on sale Sept. 8. Vanderbilt faculty and staff can purchase up to two tickets per event for $14 (regular tickets start at $24.)
