Vanderbilt Faculty and Staff Health and Wellness Vanderbilt's award winning Health and Wellness program consists of four integrated programs that exist to protect and support the health and productivity of its faculty and staff. Occupational Health Clinic The Occupational Health Clinic provides immunizations and medical screening exams for work-related hazards, business travel exams, ergonomic consultations, and evaluation and treatment for work-related injuries, illnesses and exposures. OHC facilitates an early return to work for injured workers and provides confidential medical review of medical leave (FMLA) requests. Sick visits for non-work-related conditions are provided by appointment on a limited basis. HEALTH Plus HEALTH Plus is the faculty and staff wellness and fitness program. It includes a fully equipped, state-of-the-art fitness center, group fitness classes and a variety of events and programs designed to help you lead a healthy lifestyle. Participate in the Go for the Gold Incentive Program and get rewarded with money on your paycheck each year. Work/Life Connections-EAP Work/Life Connections-EAP is a resource for faculty and staff meeting various life challenges. Services include Brief Counseling, Referral to Community Resources and Departmental Workshops. The EAP also offers a free, anonymous mental health screening for depression. Problems range from personal/work stress, parenting, couples issues, eldercare, or family concerns to depression, substance abuse, and domestic violence. Our goal is provide support and direction in helping employees resolve problems and enhance the quality of their lives. Call 6-1327 for a confidential appointment. Vanderbilt Child and Family Center The Vanderbilt Child and Family Center provides Vanderbilt faculty and staff resource and referral services, quality child care and early childhood education to the children of faculty, staff and students. When you log in, you can check your Go for the Gold status, your compliance with Occupational Health, print immunization records from Occupational Health Clinic, see what preventive exams are recommended and complete a confidential mental health screening. My Health at Vanderbilt Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s My Health at Vanderbilt program allows you to send and receive secure messages with your doctor, make appointments, view and pay your bill online, view personal health information online, see lab test results and receive health information tailored to you via e-mail. Disability Pathfinder Disability Pathfinder is one place on the web or by phone that VU employees and their families can find any resource that a person with a disability may need. The site includes a database searchable by county and by type of resource or disability. Pathfinder is a joint project of the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center and the Tennessee Council on Developmental Disabilities. 322-8529 V-FAM Doctor’s Appointment Service If you need to, you can see a doctor fast--The Vanderbilt Family Appointment Program (V-FAM) offers medical appointments to staff, faculty, and their immediate families within 48 hours for the treatment of acute/chronic problems. This doesn't necessarily mean you'll see your regular doctor, but you are guaranteed to see somebody who can help. 343-8863. Vanderbilt Kennedy Center studies are listed in detail, and there are links to other research sites on campus. Through research, people can access free language interventions, free mental health treatment, free hearing tests or opportunities to make a little money as a research participant.
