"...all life is interrelated. We are all caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied to a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. We are made to live together because of the interrelated structure of reality."

Martin Luther King, Jr., A Christmas Sermon of Peace, in The Trumpet of Conscience, 1967.

How to Get Involved with the MLK Series at Vanderbilt

The Martin Luther King Commemorative Series at Vanderbilt is administered by a committee of faculty, students, and staff. It is funded by an annual appropriation from the University and funds raised by the committee and campus sponsors.

We need your interest and your support to ensure the Series remains a continuing tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr., and a continuing opportunity to educate our community about Dr. King's life and contributions. We invite students to to join this effort. Many different jobs are available, from event planning to publicity promotion.

Take a stand. Get involved. Learn something about your history, your country, your heritage. Help with the MLK Series!
