Abused and scorned though we may be as a people, our destiny is tied up in the destiny of America." Martin Luther King, Jr., Remaining Awake Through a Great Revolution, Sermon delivered at the National Cathedral, Washington, D.C., on March 31, 1968, in A Knock at Midnight: Inspiration from the Great Sermons of Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr., Clayborne Carson and Peter Holloran, editors.
