The Center for Medicine, Health & Society (CMHS) at Vanderbilt University is recruiting a new Director, beginning Fall 2010.

The applicant would also be a tenured Associate or Full Professor in CMHS and/or the department of their discipline. CMHS links the social sciences and humanities to Vanderbilt's academic medical center in undergraduate and graduate education, and cultivates dialogue among research and teaching faculty committed to exploring links among the humanities, social sciences, and academic medicine. We seek scholars with distinguished research and teaching records. Applicants should submit a letter of interest in the position, curriculum vitae, examples of receint scholarship, information on teaching effectiveness, and three letters of reference. (Six letters will be required for finalists.) The search will continue until the position is filled. The Search Committee will begin reviewing applications early in the Fall 2009 semester.
