Independent Study forms should be returned to the Director of Undergraduate Studies, Courtney Muse, along with a 1-2 page written description of the project details. Please include the following information in your write up:
- Describe the nature of the project and what it is that you will be doing throughout the semester
- Indicate how often you will be meeting with your faculty sponsor (this can vary according to the nature of the project and faculty preferences)
- Outline how your work will be assessed (i.e., will you turn in one big paper at the end of the semester; will you be graded on the basis of multiple shorter assignments, etc.)
