New MHS Graduate Colloquium Offered Fall 2009
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Larry Churchill, Anne Geddes Stahlman Chair of Medical Ethics, is teaching MHS 300-01, Medicine, Health and Society Graduate Colloquium during the Fall 2009 semester.
Dr. Churchill’s course provides an introduction to graduate-level interdisciplinary work in medicine, health, and society, drawing on the perspectives of anthropology, economics, history, philosophy, political science and policy studies, psychology, religious studies, and sociology. The course serves as a graduate introductory to some of the fundamental questions and methods of this interdisciplinary field of study.
Dr. Churchill has published widely in several areas of medical ethics, including research with human subjects, end of life decision-making, and social justice and the ethics of U.S. health policy. We are pleased to have his expertise in the classroom as well
