Medicine, Health, and Society will participate in the inaugural series of Vanderbilt's Saturday University:  Lectures at the Commons, beginning January 2008.

The first series of lectures will focus on topics from the innovative Medicine, Health, and Society program, fast becoming the most popular major in the College of Arts & Science. World-renowned Vanderbilt faculty will address different aspects of the topic, including:
 
Literature and Medicine – Holly Tucker, professor of French
Medical Anthropology – Beth Conklin, professor of Anthropology
Medical Ethics – Larry Churchill, professor of Biomedical Ethics
Medicine throughout History – Arleen Tuchman, professor of History and Ruth Rogaski, professor of History
