Congratulations to Jay Watson (Class of 2012) and Sloane Speakman (Class of 2012) whose papers have been accepted for the Fourth Annual Vanderbilt Undergraduate Writing Symposium.

Jay wrote his paper, “Cunning Men”: The Role of Religion and Spirituality in Modern Medical Practice, for MHS 205W, Medicine and Literature.

Sloane wrote her paper, Comparing the Impact of Religious Discourse on HIV/AIDS in Islam and Christianity in Africa, for MHS 236, HIV/AIDS in the Global Community.

The Vanderbilt Undergraduate Writing Symposium is open to the public in The Commons.  It is scheduled for Sunday, March 25, 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
