Department of Mathematics Research Associate Professor Mary Ann Horn has been elected by the membership of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) as the newest member of the Board of Trustees. SIAM is an international community of more than 12,000 individual members, including applied and computational mathematicians, computer scientists, and other scientists and engineers.

Professor Glenn Webb has been honored with the dedication of a special issue of Mathematical Modelling of Natural Phenomena. Vol. 3, No. 7 (2008) of the journal is dedicated to Webb in honor of his 65th birthday.

Mathematical Modelling of Natural Phenomena is an international research journal specializing in mathematical modeling in biology, medicine, chemistry, physics, and other areas.
