Basketball Teams Log 20-Win Seasons

Both Commodore basketball teams won at least 20 games last season, and each advanced to the NCAA Tournament. The men’s program finished with a 23–11 record, 9–7 in the SEC. They lost to Richmond in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Sophomore guard John Jenkins was named the Tennessee Sports Writers Association’s 2010–11 Player of the Year.

The women’s team finished with a 20–12 overall record and advanced to the NCAA tournament for the 12th consecutive year. They finished third in the SEC with a 10–6 record and were eliminated in the first round of the NCAA Tournament by Louisville. Senior guard Jence Rhoads, BA’11, received WBCA Region 3 All-America honors and was named first-team All-SEC.
