Interdisciplinary Program in Educational Psychology

The Dunn Family Scholars Program will advance the development of a group of doctoral level researchers and applied psychometricians with deep understanding of the academic and social functioning of children and the assessment information needs of educators. Some of these scholars will contribute to the next generation of tests and assessment practices in schools across the world, and thus extend the work of educational assessment pioneers Lloyd and Leota Dunn. Graduate students selected to be Dunn Family Scholars will be expected to be full-time doctoral students in a Peabody College department and members of the Interdisciplinary Program in Educational Psychology (IPEP). While in the program, students will be provided support in the form of tuition remission, a living stipend, and support for research projects. Scholars' responsibilities will include the following:

1. Completion of a four-year sequence of coursework and seminars totaling 16 credit hours

2. Participation in colloquia featuring experts on learning, measurement, or assessment

3. Presentation of a proposed or completed research project during Year Four of the program
