All doctoral (Ph.D.) students admitted to Peabody may apply to the IPEP. You may apply prior to starting doctoral study, or you may apply at the end of your first year. Delaying application for admission, however, may reduce the probability of receiving financial support from the IPEP. Contact the program coordinator for specific admission deadlines.

Acceptance into the IPEP will be based on: meeting the admission standards to Peabody College, a statement of research interest(s) compatible with the program’s goals, and a letter of support from the student’s department advisor or an IPEP faculty affiliate. A cross-departmental admissions committee chaired by the program director makes admissions and funding decisions.

Students who successfully complete Year One of the program will be eligible for financial support during either Year Three or Year Four. Additional funding will be available for members of the Dunn Family Scholars Program. Funding will be coordinated with any departmental support the student is provided.
