Synchrony (studying youth networks across time-space) is a research study follows the naturally occurring communication practices of a group of teens online and offline, across school contexts and home contexts. The research is focused on how youth use everyday Internet Communication Technologies (ICT's), such as instant messaging, web logs, web-surfing, and online gaming. Our goal in the research is to better understand how changing literacy practices enable new social networks and forms of identity. Synchrony has been funded through a Small Grant from the Spencer Foundation.
