Resource Group
Vanderbilt University contracted with the Licensing Resource Group, Inc.
to help manage the University's licensing program. LRG was founded in
1991 and currently represents more than 100 universities, athletic conferences
and special properties nationwide in their trademark licensing interests.
LRG works with the Office of Trademark Licensing to help ensure that the
use of any Vanderbilt trademark is consistent with the standards and goals
of the University. LRG helps facilitate the licensing process for licensees;
executes licensing agreements; monitors the marketplace for the unlicensed
use of trademarks; collects royalties and conducts compliance review audits
of licensed manufactures. In addition, LRG also works with Vanderbilt
to identify opportunities for increased exposure through marketing, promotions
and public relations.
