Vanderbilt Lambda Association
As Vanderbilt University's undergraduate gay-straight alliance, the Vanderbilt Lambda Association is a leading promoter in diversity awareness, providing a safe space on campus for all students regardless of background, race, sexual orientation, or gender identity and expression. Lambda fulfills this mission by creating dialogue and programming among students, faculty, and the administration, reaching out to the greater Nashville LGBTQI organizations, and promoting increased interaction between the LGBTQI and other communities at Vanderbilt.

HRC Vanderbilt
The Human Rights Campaign of Vanderbilt University is a University-wide civil rights organization devoted to achieving full equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals. HRC Vanderbilt builds community through an inclusive membership, which brings together undergraduates, graduate and professional students, members of the faculty, and other University employees of all sexual orientations and gender identities.  

Graduate and Professional Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual Student Association
VUGPLBGA is a Vanderbilt University student organization intended to serve the needs of gay, straight, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender graduate and professional students. Striving to recognize the diversity of the Vanderbilt community, we encourage the support and involvement of all people in the Vanderbilt community regardless of sexual orientation. 

Divinity School: Office of Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Concerns (GABLE)
The Office of Lesbian, Gay, and Bisexual Concerns was organized in 1991 and is dedicated to addressing the issues of homophobia and heterosexism in religious life, society, and the academy. The Office provides a positive, safe environment that affirms the rights of lesbian, gay, and bisexual persons; it suggests ways in which the Divinity School and Graduate Department of Religion can fulfill their commitment to confronting homophobia in our society; it provides educational opportunities for all members of the Divinity School/Graduate Department of Religion community. Membership is open to all Divinity School and Graduate Department of Religion students, faculty, and staff who are committed to working toward the goals of the Office. The rights to confidentiality of students, faculty, and staff who participate in the office are honored. The work of the Office is coordinated by a student steering committee.  

Law School: OUTLaw
The Gay/Straight Alliance, now named OUTlaw, was formed to allow gay and lesbian law students to meet and discuss issues that are unique to being gay in the legal profession. The organization is open to all law students, gay and straight alike, and encourages all law students to become members.  

Medical School: VU GLMSA
The VU GLMSA mission is two-fold: to educate the greater Vanderbilt medical community on health issues that pertain to gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) patients and health care providers and to provide a support network for GLBT medical students.  

Faculty and Staff GLBT Group
This group provides social activities and a way to get connected for the faculty and staff and Vanderbilt University. The group gathers approximately once a month during the academic year. For more information, please contact Don Schlosser.

Amnesty International OUTfront advocates for and educates about global lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender human rights.

Bisexual Resource Center is an international organization providing education about and support for bisexual and progressive issues.

Campus Pride is a national online community and resource network committed to student leaders and campus organizations who work to create a safer campus environment free of homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, heterosexism and genderism at colleges and universities.

COLAGE is an organization offering support and advocacy for children of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender parents

Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) is dedicated to promoting and ensuring fair, accurate and inclusive representation of people and events in the media as a means of eliminating homophobia and discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation.

The Gay & Lesbian National Hotline provides telephone and email peer-counseling, as well as information and local resources for cities and towns across the United States.

Gay, Lesbian, & Straight Education Network (GLSEN) is the largest national organization bringing together gay and straight teachers, parents, students, counselors and other concerned citizens and youth workers for the purpose of taking action to end homophobia in our schools.

Human Rights Campaign (HRC) is the largest gay and lesbian organization in the U.S. and provides a national voice on gay and lesbian issues. The Human Rights Campaign effectively lobbies Congress; mobilizes grassroots action in diverse communities; invests strategically to elect a fair-minded Congress; and increases public understanding through innovative education and communication strategies.

Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund is a national organization committed to achieving full recognition of the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people and those with HIV through impact litigation, education, and public policy work.

Lambda 10 Project is a national clearinghouse for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender fraternity and sorority issues. Lambda 10 works to heighten the visibility of GLBT members of Greek organizations by providing educational resources related to sexual orientation and gender identity and expression as pertaining to the fraternity/sorority experience.

National Black Justice Coalition (NBJC) is a civil rights organization dedicated to empowering Black same-gender-loving, lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered people. The Coalition works with our communities and our allies for social justice, equality, and an end to racism and homophobia.

National Consortium of Higher Education Resource Professionals is the primary organization for LGBT topics in higher education, and maintains a directory of professionally staffed LGBT college/university offices, calendar of meetings, jobs available, campus climate reports, nondiscrimination policies, and much more.

National Center for Transgender Equality is a non-profit social justice organization dedicated to advancing the equality of transgender people through advocacy, collaboration, and empowerment

National Gay and Lesbian Task Force (NGLTF) was the first national lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights and advocacy organization and remains the movement's leading voice for freedom, justice, and equality.

National Organization for Women (NOW) is dedicated to promoting the rights of women of all sexual orientations.

National Coalition for Gay, Lesbian, and Bisexual Youth hosts OutProud.org, a web site rich with helpful advice for youth questioning their sexuality.

Parents, Friends, and Families of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) promotes the health and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender persons, their families and friends through: support, to cope with an adverse society; education, to enlighten an ill-informed public; and advocacy, to end discrimination and to secure equal civil rights.

Queer Resources Directory (QRD) is an electronic library with news clippings, political contact information, newsletters, essays, images, hyperlinks, and every other kind of information resource of interest to the GLBQ community. Information is stored for the use of casual network users and serious researchers alike.

Soc. Bi has been an online, open forum on bisexuality since 1991.

The Transgender Law and Policy Institute is a non-profit organization dedicated to engaging in effective advocacy for transgender people in our society. The TLPI brings experts and advocates together to work on law and policy initiatives designed to advance transgender equality.

The Trevor Project is a 24/7 suicide & crisis prevention helpline for gay and questioning youth.
