Alpha Lambda Delta (1st. Yr.)
Alpha Lambda Delta National Website: http://www.nationalald.org/
Alpha Lambda Delta membership is open to all freshmen who meet the academic qualifications. Students must be registered for a full course of study leading to a bachelor’s degree and must rank in the top 20 percent of their freshman class. The minimum scholastic average required for membership is a 3.5 or above GPA. Eligibility may be based on grades of the first full curricular period (semester) or on the cumulative average of the first year in college. A one-time membership fee of $35 is required. The fee covers keys or pins and certificates, with a portion of the money going to the honor society’s organizational fund.
After the application process, students will be notified of future date and time of initiation. Once initiated the student becomes a lifetime member of Alpha Lambda Delta. Members may remain active in the chapter throughout college. Members hold offices while they are sophomores and will be asked to volunteer some hours of service to an Alpha Lambda Delta campus or community project.
If you are interested in being a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, you may download and print the application. Fill it out legibly and turn it in to Sonya Thompson in the Office of Leadership Development and Intercultural Affairs in the Community Partnership House, room 112 by the deadline.
ALD Freshmen Honor Society applications will be due March 30, 2012.
