Collegiate Leadership Vanderbilt (apply)
In 2008 the Collegiate Leadership Vanderbilt (CLV) program met the president of the Frist Museum, Tim McGraw's agent/manager, and more. At the end of the program, the CLV students spent a weekend in Chicago networking with advertising executives, editors from the Chicago Tribune, and other Vanderbilt Alumni. The purpose for these interactions is to help students define, articulate, and apply a personal definition of leadership. Collegiate Leadership Vanderbilt: 1. Introduces students to real world leaders from diverse segments of the community: business, religion, art, non-profit, political, etc. 2. Allows students to hear insights from these leaders and apply them to their everyday leadership roles. 3. Asks students to choose the insights that work best for them. By the end of the program students should be able to incorporate what they learn into a personal definition of leadership. Apply: Applications available March/April of 2009 |
