Student Leadership Development Blog
Welcome to the Student Leadership Development Blog! I’m Krystal Clark and I serve as the Associate Director of our office. Our staff is completed by Wil De Los Santos, Program Coordinator, Brandie Vanorder, who serves as our Graduate Assistant, and Andrea Wall as our Administrative Assistant. We’re located in Sarratt 339 and our doors are always open (at least from 9am-5pm and longer by appointment) to you and your student organization.
What does your office do?
Our current programs include: Leadership Hall, Magnolia Awards, and the advisement of six honorary organizations including Phi Eta Sigma, Alpha Lambda Delta, Lotus Eaters, Omicron Delta Kappa, Mortar Board, and Athenian Junior Honorary Society. We also have a Student Standing Team on Leadership Excellence and a Staff Standing Team on Leadership Excellence.
We have worked with various offices this summer within the Office of the Dean of Students to integrate our Leadership Excellence Philosophy Statement into existing and new initiatives implemented by our campus partners and will continue to do so.
Our goal is to create innovative leadership development programming for the Vanderbilt campus community and for that we’ll certainly need your ideas and enthusiasm.
How can I get involved?
If you want to be a part of our mission then please let us know. Email us at email@example.com and tell us that you care about being a leader and practicing effective leadership.
We’ll get back to you as we have opportunities for student involvement. I promise, we’ll have a lot of fun, creative, and educational things for you to do.
As we roll out programs, we’ll market those to the campus community and hope that you’ll want to be a part of leadership training, education, and development efforts on campus.

I think my student organization/residence hall/or me personally could benefit from a leadership development experience. How do I use your office as a resource?
Contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or directly email a staff member by use of the email addresses on our Contact Us page. Please feel free to stop by our office and we can chat about your desired outcomes. We have tons of ideas and experience. We look forward to working with you and your organization.
Why should I read the Student Leadership Development Blog?
Well, for one it will be fun to read but also thought provoking. We’ll cover campus events, offer our take on relevant leadership news, and offer you resources to help you as a student leader. We’ll work to provide visuals because who doesn’t love a good picture? Our goal is to post once a week. If you’re interested in serving as a guest blogger email us at email@example.com.
If you have any other questions, please just let us know.
Yours in Leadership,
