  Academy Evaluation Standards

The final project, a comprehensive plan of action to address a problem or challenge using specific analytical and technology tools learned throughout the year, is evaluated against the five major strands taught throughout the year: (1) how well it reflects a sound understanding of the participant’s school and its needs, (2) how well it demonstrates the participants’ ability to successfully implement a strategic planning and a strategic action process, (3) how well it reflects what participants have articulated as their core beliefs, assumptions and values regarding education, schools, students, and learning, and (4) how well it integrates analytic tools and data. Lastly, the participant’s plan is evaluated against the Academy’s mission statement, how well it “creatively and courageously propels teaching and learning.”
