The Journal of the Southern Political Science Association
The Journal of Politics is one of the leading general journals of political science. As such, it seeks to publish path breaking work in all subfields. The JOP has a responsibility to speak to all areas of our diverse discipline. And we take that responsibility seriously. The Journal, therefore, welcomes the submission of excellent scholarship in all subfields, such as American Politics, Comparative Politics, Formal Theory, International Relations, Methodology, Political Theory, Public Administration, and Public Policy. Founded in 1938, The Journal of Politics is published by Cambridge University Press for the Southern Political Science Association. The Journal of Politics is edited by John G. Geer, and it is located in the Department of Political Science at Vanderbilt University. The Journal of Politics would like to thank the Department of Political Science, The College of Arts and Science, and Dean Richard McCarty for their generous support. The JOP would also like to thank Michigan State University for helping to support this website.
