HTML Workshop


Description: Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) is a language used to create documents for the World Wide Web.

Prerequisite: You must be familiar with Netscape and the text editor available on either Windows 95/98/NT/2000 or Macintosh operating systems.

Format: The "HTML Introduction" workshop is conducted in one 3.5-hour session.

Cost: $ 40

Course Content: This is a beginning level workshop. Topics covered include:

  • Using the basic markup tags.
  • Character formatting.
  • Linking to other documents.
  • Placing images in your document.
  • Using color in your document.
  • Sources of HTML help.
  • Accessing VUspace


Participants will be provided with a single sheet containing the class outline and abbreviated notes. Upon completion of the workshop, they should be able to develop their own web pages and edit existing ones.
