Affordability
Ranked the 15th Best Value by U.S. News & World Report, Vanderbilt is one of a small number of universities that do not consider ability to pay when determining admission. Find out how we are committed to meeting 100 percent of your demonstrated need to help make this investment in your future a reality.
Students
The concept of balance between academics and activities permeates our student body. Our diverse student body represents every state in the U.S. and over thirty countries worldwide, with undergraduate population of 53% female and 25% students of color. Vanderbilt students compete successfully for the most prestigious scholarships and awards.
First-Year Experience
96% of freshmen students return to Vanderbilt for their sophomore year, displaying their value in the Vanderbilt community. The investment in The Commons to show the dynamic and supportive learning community will bring all first–year students together in ten houses on the historic Peabody campus.
Commodore Spirit
Vanderbilt is a member of the Division I Southeastern Conference. Tennis and basketball are traditionally the strongest sports, but lacrosse, bowling, and baseball are experiencing national success. Varsity athletic events are free to undergraduates, and our students show the Commodore spirit in support of their favorite teams every week.
