Registrations can be completed at the Office of Campus Recreation from 9 am – 5 pm Mon. – Fri. Each house’s vice president will be responsible for assisting the Office of Campus Recreation in promoting and registering teams for both the Commons sporting events and intramural sports. For more info call 3-8186.
There is a $10 Guest Pass for non-student and non-rec center members.

Smoothie King Opened back up Jan. 6th
Beginning January 6th, Smoothie King will include salads, snacks, gluten-free and vegan baked goods. Look for Bongo Java Coffee coming soon.

Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center Field House is now OPEN.
Field House hours of operation are the same as the Recreation Center.
Field House is reserved and unavailable during the following hours:
Monday through Friday
6:00 am - 8:00 am
2:00 pm - 7:30 pm
9:00 am - 1:00 pm
2:00 pm – 7:30 pm
No food or drinks other than water in the Field House. Do not exit the Field House through the emergency doors. An alarm will sound.

Rec Cross / CPR / 1st Aid / AED Class Dates

*Each student will receive a Rec Cross certificate upon passing the class.
*Must register by 5 pm on the Thursday before the class in the Office of Campus Recreation.

Stroke and Turn Clinics
To provide stroke instruction for swimmers of all ages and abilities to improve their speed, efficiency, and endurance. Swim Clinics focuses on the swimmer’s individual abilities and works to perfect their strokes through drills, verbal and physical reinforcement and conditioning. Registration not required. Clinic held at the pool, Jan. 20th and 21st from 11:30 am to noon. Please come dressed in your swim suite and bring a towel.
Demonstration Kitchen Class
Come learn how to make easy snacks for studying- using only your microwave! January 21stfrom 4:30 to 6:00 pm in the Demonstration Kitchen on the first floor of the Rec Center.
Come to this exhibition class and experience a blend of Pilates and Yoga. January 23rd, at 5:30 pm, located in Room East 6A. No reservations needed.
Ever wanted to teach aerobics??? Learn the bare basics of teaching group fitness. Anatomy, kinesiology and more. Taught by Becky Harrison M.Ed, January 26th, from 3:00 to 4:00 pm in Room East 6A. No reservations needed.
Swim Lessons Dates: Jan 27 – Mar 27
Both Group and Private lessons are offered year-round. Group lessons are offered for children at beginner levels and aimed to help children feel comfortable in the water and teach beginner level skills. Private lessons are offered to both children and adults. These lessons focus on your needs, ranging from bubble-blowing to improving stroke technique and efficiency in the water for competitive swimmers and triathlon participants.

- Group Lessons Time Slots: 4:00 pm, 4:45 pm & 5:30 pm – $60
Always wanted to play racquetball but not sure how? Maybe you need a brush up on the rules or shot selection. This clinic is for you then. Tuesday evening’s classes will feature an introduction to the rules and basic shots will be taught. Starting January 27th and running for three weeks this class will introduce you to a lifetime sport for a lifetime of fun. Location: Downstairs Racquetball Courts. No reservation needed.
