Solola, Guatemala - Manna Project International

Manna Project International is a non-profit organization that works in Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Ecuador. While the volunteer work varies between sites, the mission of working with communities to foster development through programs such as kids and adult English, computer classes, child sponsorship, baseball teams, health classes, and summer camps, remains the same. MPI runs on the passion and dedication of the Program Directors, recent college graduates that commit to a 13-month leadership role at one of the three sites. They essentially run the organization, planning programs and developing relationships with community members. They are also in charge of the summer volunteers, college students that spend four weeks volunteering at a site during the summer. The goal of my project was to create a series of online recruitment videos to raise awareness of the organization and increase the rate at which college students and graduates apply to volunteer. I spent the summer shadowing the organization at each site, filming their work in the community and interviewing volunteers to make a number of short and compelling marketing videos.
