Rasheedat Fetuga is the Community Organizer for the Children's Defense Fund, and has opened a new Children's Defense Office in Nashville, Tennessee. Her mission is to identify and empower current and emerging leaders for children, to inspire them to act effectively and build strong, healthy communities, and to engage and sustain them with lasting relationships in providing an effective voice for children.

Rasheedat also acts as the statewide contact for children's issues for the NAACP. She is working on building a statewide Movement for children through the enactment of the Dodd-Miller Act to Leave No Child Behind (S.448/H.R.936) and through grassroots organizing and advocacy on a state and national level.
