In high school, Linzy founded the Myers Park March of Dimes Team, which was the first high school program in the Charlotte area to raise money and awareness for the March of Dimes. To plan fundraisers for the program, she partnered with Brentson Buckner of the NFL Carolina Panthers to raise over $10, 000 and awareness for the March of Dimes. Passionate about foreign languages, Linzy created a program to expose children to French, German, and Spanish. She was also very involved in the pediatric unit of Carolinas Medical Center, was the statistician of her high school's Varsity Track Team, played the French horn in the Charlotte Symphony Youth Orchestra, and was an active member for the IB Student Council of her high school to plan various school-wide community service efforts.
During her first year at Vanderbilt, Linzy served as a member of the Vanderbilt Student Government Community Service Committee to plan and organize community service projects such as Angel Tree. She also volunteered in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Baptist Hospital in liaison with her previous efforts with the March of Dimes, performed science experiments at a local middle school through Vanderbilt Students Volunteer for Science, and served on the executive board of Scholar Bowl, a charity quiz bowl founded by a fellow Ingram Scholar.
