Being accepted to this extraordinary institution of higher learning speaks strongly to the level of commitment you have invested in your academic endeavors, community service, and leadership opportunities. I congratulate you on this remarkable achievement and commend your decision to further your education at Vanderbilt.

As a Vanderbilt alumnus, a Vanderbilt parent, and a member of the Board whose responsibilities include governance and strategic planning for the institution, I have had the privilege of being involved with this University on many levels. From all of these perspectives, I can assure you that, by choosing Vanderbilt, you have made a very wise decision.

At Vanderbilt, you will discover an intellectually stimulating learning environment which is unique in its close sense of community and belonging. With the mentoring and guidance of a world-class faculty, you will be inspired to think critically to understand the complexities of our world and to create new knowledge to solve the issues that stand before us.
