Melanie Swift, MD, Medical Director--Dr. Swift is the Medical Director of the Occupational Health Clinic. She attained her MD from the University of Tennessee in Memphis and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Brown University.
A board-certified internist, she practiced in the Vanderbilt Division of General Internal Medicine from 1995 until 2001, where she directed both the Ambulatory Internal Medicine Curriculum and the Internal Medicine Resident Continuity Clinics. She was awarded the 2001 F. Tremaine Billings Faculty Teaching Award. Since coming to OHC in 2001 she has focused full-time on the health and well being of Vanderbilt faculty and staff.
In addition to seeing patients in the Occupational Health Clinic, Dr. Swift represents the health and safety interests of faculty and staff on several committees, including Medical Center Safety, Infection Control, Radiation Safety, Return to Work, Ergonomics and the Human Gene Transfer Advisory Group.
Dr. Swift is on the Board of Directors of the Tennessee College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, and has served as Tennessee's delegate to the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.

Patricia Kinman, MSN, RN, CS, FNP, Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Manager--Patricia Kinman is primarily responsible for management of the OHC staff and clinical operations. Although she has overall responsibility for all OHC programs, she has specific programmatic responsibility for quality assurance and environment of care issues for OHC. She currently serves as an adjunct Instructor in Community Health for the Vanderbilt School of Nursing She received a master of science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Berea College in Kentucky. She has been certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the American Nurses Credentialing Center since 1980. |

Mary Yarbrough, MD, MPH--Dr. Yarbrough is the Director of Health and Wellness at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. She has responsibility for faculty and staff services in both the University and Medical Center at Vanderbilt. These services include the Occupational Health Clinic; HEALTH Plus, Vanderbilt's health promotion program; Work/Life Connections-EAP, including Faculty, Physician and Nurse Wellness Programs; and the Child and Family Center. Prior to coming to Vanderbilt, Dr. Yarbrough served as the Director of Environmental Epidemiology for the State of Tennessee. She received her B.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering and her MD from Vanderbilt University. Dr. Yarbrough completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Vanderbilt and in Preventive Medicine at Johns Hopkins University. She is an Assistant Professor of both Medicine and Preventive Medicine at Vanderbilt, is boarded by the American Board of Preventive Medicine in both Occupational Medicine and Public Health and General Preventive Medicine, is boarded by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a former Luce Scholar. Dr. Yarbrough has served as President of the Tennessee College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and is currently the Tennessee Delegate to the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM). Dr. Yarbrough also serves on ACOEM's Board of Directors. |

Alice Warren, RN, MSN, MEd, ANP, Nurse Practitioner and Assistant Clinical Manager--Alice U. Warren is a nurse practitioner in the Occupational Health Clinic. She is the assistant clinic manager and is the liaison to HEALTH Plus for health promotion, self care, and risk reduction programs. Alice earned a BSN from the University of Tennessee College of Nursing and has worked in a variety of adult acute and primary care settings. She also earned a MEd in Exercise Science and Health Promotion and MSN from Vanderbilt University. Previous professional responsibilities have included opening a cardiac rehabilitation program, teaching lifestyle change programs of smoking cessation and stress management, and coordinating corporate health promotion programs including Health Risk Assessments, risk reduction and executive physicals. She is certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner by the ANCC and a Certified Occupational Health Nurse Specialist by the ABOHN. She has been a lecturer at the Vanderbilt School of Nursing. |

Vickie Cage, RN, BSN, Occupational Health Specialist--Vickie has been an RN for 27 years. She received an Associate in Nursing from Belmont College and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Kentucky University. Prior to coming to Vanderbilt last year Vickie has worked in many Nursing roles which include Emergency, Same day surgery, and Employee health.
Vickie provides patient care in the Occupational Health Clinic and is also responsible for our off-site and new faculty/staff orientation screening programs. |
Glen Harness, Information Technology Coordinator -- Although Glen started with in July 2008, he's been at Vanderbilt since September 1990. Most of those years were spent in the Patient Accounting Department as their Programmer/Analyst and Network Manager, then later with the Deparment of Finance as a desktop support technician. Glen acts as a technology liasion for the four departments the comprise Health and Wellness, is the team leader for the podcast and our internet presence, and assists with database development, and QA evaluations. |

DeMoyne Culpepper, Computer Systems Analyst II--DeMoyne Culpepper acts as technology consultant and Informatics specialist for Vanderbilt Health and Wellness. She is involved in database administration, system analysis, technology development and training for a variety of Health and Wellness applications. DeMoyne works with the Health and Wellness team and departments to design, create, monitor, make enhancements and upgrades to software systems. She is also involved in the team that will help to deploy the software for the production of the new Occupational Health Information System. DeMoyne is a Master’s prepared Registered Nurse in Informatics/Health Care Management from Vanderbilt University. She has a very diverse professional background in Nursing, Sales and Human Resources (Recruiting). |

Willow Price, Administrative Assistant--Willow is the Administrative Assistant to Dr. Mary Yarbrough and Paula McGown. She also serves as an administrative liaison for all areas in Health and Wellness. She has worked at Vanderbilt since 1999. |
Andrea Regg , Administrative Assistant I--Andrea’s primary responsibilities are to provide direct administrative support for the Occupational Health Medical Director and Clinic Manager. Andrea maintains the Medical Director and Nurse Practitioners' calendars including the scheduling of all appointments, committee meetings, travel arrangements and conferences. |

Paula McGown, RN, CFNP, CPA, PHR --Paula is the Administrative Officer for Health and Wellness. She is responsible for health and productiviy management, budgetary oversight and position management for the Occupational Health Clinic, Work/Life Connections-EAP, HEALTH Plus, and Child Care. Additionally, she coordinates activities related to the development and implementation of the Occupational Health Information System. Paula has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing and a Master of Accountancy from the Massey School of Business at Belmont University. She has been ANCC certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 1990 and is licensed as an RN and a CPA in the state of Tennessee. She also holds certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) through the Human Resource Certification Institute.

Valerie Thayer, RN, CIC, Occupational Health Specialist--Valerie has been with Vanderbilt since 1992. She has been in OHC since 2004 where she manages programs for infectious disease exposures and needle stick/splash injuries for faculty and staff. She coordinates the influenza vaccine program.She enjoys caring for faculty and staff in the clinic as well. |
