Robert C. McGreevey is Research Assistant Professor of History at Vanderbilt University. His current research examines the relationship between colonialism and migration by exploring Puerto Rican migration to the U.S. mainland in the decades after the War of 1898. He has received several awards for his work, including grants and fellowships from the Society for Historians of American Foreign Relations, the Immigration and Ethnic History Society, and the Organization of American Historians.
McGreevey received his BA in history from Swarthmore College and his MA and PhD in U.S. history from Brandeis University. His teaching interests include foreign policy, immigration, colonialism, transnational social movements, research methods, and transnational history.
