Tuesday, September 30, 2014
At the invitation of Professor David Denlinger, Co-Editor-in-Chief of Current Opinion in Insect Science (COIS), Julián Hillyer served as the guest editor of a journal issue that focused on vector immunity. As guest editor, Julián Hillyer (1) invited prominent entomologists to write reviews in specific areas of vector immunity, (2) wrote with Michael Strand (University of Georgia) a review titled “Mosquito hemocyte-mediated immune responses” (LINK), (3) edited the invited reviews, and (4) wrote an editorial. The vector immunity issue of Current Opinion in Insect Science was published in September of 2014 (volume 3).
