Julián Hillyer is elected to the American Society of Parasitologists governing council

Julián Hillyer was elected to the position of Council Member-at-Large in the American Society of Parasitologists. As a member of the society’s governing board, Julián, along with other voting members of Council, will be responsible for establishing policies for the management of all affairs, funds and properties of the Society, as well as the transactions of all business except as otherwise indicated in the bylaws. Julián’s term on ASP Council runs from 2012 to 2016.
The American Society of Parasitologists (ASP) is a diverse group of over 1500 scientists from industry, government, and academia who are interested in the study and teaching of Parasitology. The 86th annual meeting was held in Anchorage, Alaska.
