NSF REU supplement awarded to the Hillyer Lab, 2012

A “Research Experiences for Undergraduates” (REU) Award has been made by the National Science Foundation to principal investigator Julián Hillyer. This grant will support the research and stipend of one undergraduate student during the summer of 2012. This award is a supplement to the lab’s NSF grant titled “Dynamics of the mosquito heart: hemolymph flow and associated immune cells” (NSF IOS-1051636).

The Division of Integrative Organismal Systems (IOS) supports research aimed at an integrative understanding of organisms. The goal is to predict why organisms are structured the way they are, and function as they do.
