Undergraduate Student Sarah Coggins is awarded the Department of Biological Sciences Research Prize.

Undergraduate student Sarah Coggins today received two major awards from Vanderbilt University’s Department of Biological Sciences. First, she was awarded “Highest Honors” in recognition of excellence in both academics and research. Second, she received the “2011 Award for Outstanding Research in Biological Sciences”. This award was presented in recognition of her exceptional research on the differential susceptibility of Aedes aegypti and Anopheles gambiae mosquitoes to bacterial infection.

Award for Outstanding Research in Biological Sciences. This award is presented to a senior in Biological Sciences for outstanding research performed as part of a Biological Sciences Major.
