Shabbat and Holidays
Erev Shabbat services are led by students for students. Wine, challah, and dinner are served. Services are held in the Ben Schulman Center for Jewish Life, located at the corner of 25th and Vanderbilt Place, just opposite Memorial Gym.
Vanderbilt Hillel is grateful for the support from the Nashville chapter of the National Council of Jewish Women for allowing us to offer Free Shabbat meals to students on Vanderbilt’s campus.
Unless otherwise stated, services are at 5:30 followed by dinner at 6:30.
Hillel holds Reform and Conservative services for both Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur right on campus.
Every year, Vanderbilt Hillel hosts multiple seders and provides meals throughout the week. Seders are led by students for their respective class year.

Vanderbilt Hillel celebrates Sukkot every year in a campus-wide celebration. Make sure to check out our Sukkah in front of our building and outside the Commons Center! Events for Sukkot have included Pizza in the Hut, Smoothies in the Sukkah, as well as various discussions and lunches in the sukkah throughout the week.
