Greek Life Faculty Program Grants
Step Show - The art of stepping was popularized by the National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc. fraternities and sororities. Although it has evolved over the years, the overall purpose is to display the creative abilities and the distinctive themes of the respective Greek organizations. NPHC holds the step show in March in conjunction with the Minority Recruitment Student Weekend.
Order of Omega - The National Greek honor society. The Order of Omega recognizes those fraternity men and women who have attained a high standard of leadership in Greek Life activities and offer programs and resources for upper class students.
Greek Week - This week is filled with community service, spirited competitions, and social events for the entire Vanderbilt community. Greek Week will be held April 8 through12, 2009. Specific events for the week have not been determined but it will culminate with the presentation of the Chancellor Heard Greek Awards for 2009 - 2010 on April 12 at 7 pm in the Student Life Center Ballroom.
Greek Training Camp - This educational program takes place shortly after invitations for membership are extended to new fraternity and sorority members. Greek Training Camp is designed to introduce new members of fraternities and sororities to the values and expectations of membership in Greek Life.
GAMMA (Greek Advocating the Mature Management of Alcohol) - A student organization advised by the Office of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drug Prevention. GAMMA provides valuable information on health and safety topics, and works to create change in high-risk attitudes and behaviors within their chapters. Greek Life Faculty Program Grants are now available to chapters wishing to host programs that involve and engage faculty members. More information about this can be found here.
