Launches Great Performances Dance Season with Lost Action
Nashville, TN–Thursday, October 8 at 7:30pm Great Performances at Vanderbilt brings LA Theatre Works’ double bill of a War of the Worlds reenactment and Lost World to Vanderbilt University’s Langford Auditorium. Under the leadership of Producing Director, Susan Albert Loewenberg, L.A. Theatre Works (LATW) has been the foremost radio theater company in the United States for two decades.
Recreating the breathless pace and convincing details of Orson Welles’ infamous radio broadcast, L.A. Theatre Works makes it clear why H.G. Wells’War of the Worlds is truly the mother of all space invasions. A performance panel discussion will be held October 8 at Noon at The Vanderbilt Curb Center for Art, Enterprise, and Public Policy with the Company actors and Vanderbilt Performance Art students. The event promises to be memorable as the topic of Censorship in the Arts is explored in both historic and contemporary terms. Check Website for more details.

Single ticket prices are $36,$33, and $29 for individuals, $ 17 for VU Faculty/Staff, $10 for all area students/children with a valid ID, and $5 for VU students.
